Academic System & Grading

Hungarian universities follow the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), making degrees recognised across Europe and many other countries. The ECTS allows students to transfer credits between participating universities, making exchange programmes and further studies much easier.

Each course carries a specific number of credits based on the student's workload. At the end of every semester, students receive a Transcript of Records showing completed subjects, grades, and earned credits.
